Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) is a test that checks for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. An EKG translates the heart's electrical activity into line tracings on paper. The spikes and dips in the line tracings are called waves.

7 & 14 Day Holter Monitor

A Holter monitor is a machine that continuously records the heart's rhythms. The monitor is usually worn for 7 - 14 days during normal activity.

Exercise Stress Test

A stress test, sometimes called a treadmill test or exercise test, helps a doctor find out how well your heart works. As your body works harder during the test, it requires more oxygen, so the heart must pump more blood. The test can show if the blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart. It also helps doctors know the kind and level of exercise appropriate for a patient.

Pacemaker Check

We can do in-office interrogation of your Pacemaker and ICD implanted devices. In most instances this can be done on the day of your doctor appointment which can save you an extra visit.

24h Holter Monitor

A Holter monitor is a machine that continuously records the heart's rhythms. The monitor is usually worn for 24 - 48 hours during normal activity.

Event Monitors

Holter and event monitors are similar to an EKG (electrocardiogram). An EKG is a simple test that detects and records the heart's electrical activity. It's a common test for diagnosing heart rhythm problems. However, a standard EKG only records the heartbeat for a few seconds. It won't detect heart rhythm problems that don't occur during the test.
